Cerebellar Hypoplasia support in the ACT
Welcome to Australian Capital Territory Cerebellar Hypoplasia Support Network Incorporated. We are committed to improving the understanding and knowledge of Cerebellar Hypoplasia within the local community and its impact on families with affected children. Our role includes, but is not limited to:
- Providing a supportive and collaborative network for families affected by this condition;
- Providing assistance and advice (especially to families with newly diagnosed children);
- Sharing information about this condition;
- Raising funds to financially assist families with affected children who are within the Australian Capital Territory (ACT);
- Sharing resources, such as specialised toys and equipment; and
- Providing links to the various local (ACT) services available to assist families.
Cody Sheppard's story
A day after Cody was born he was admitted to the intensive care unit for further assessment due to poor feeding, high muscle tone, and little responsiveness.
